Chokhortse-Hike-in-Thimphu:

The short uphill Chokhor Tse Hike in Thimphu starts from Sangaygang ,where the motor road ends. From here as you begin your hike you will be ushered with thousands of colorful prayer flags. The trail is steep with fewer trees for shade but there are benches along the way for resting and enjoying the extravagant view of Thimphu city. 

You will have lots of opportunities to photograph the entire Thimphu city nestled in the valley. As you hike through the tapestry of Bhutanese colors you will be welcomed by butterflies, bees, wildflowers, and wild berries. Before reaching the hilltop Chokhortse Lhakhang surrounded by a silhouette of mountains, you will come across brightly painted giant prayer wheels and Lungta Phodrang which is in contrast to the traditional and antique Chokhortse Lhakhang. The hike takes about 45 minutes from Sangaygang to Chokhortse Lhakhang.
