Serbithang-to-Talakha-Hike-In-Thimphu :

Serbithang to Talakha hike is an offbeat path and less touristy. The trail leads you to Talakha Lhakhang.

Talakha Lhakhang is a temple situated at an elevation of 3,080 meters above sea level on a soaring hilltop towards the south of Thimphu. The temple can be seen as a small white speck on the tip of the towering hill which is prominently seen from almost anywhere in Thimphu.

Although there is motor road connectivity, the visitors have the option to hike from Serbithang to Talakha Goemba which takes about two hours with gentle gradient.

With more than fifty young monks led by a Chief Monk, this 15th century temple is a secluded place of tranquility and offers spectacular views of the whole Thimphu valley.
